Prioritizing the health of our frontline warriors in Haridwar through health camps
Our team in Haridwar organized a health camp for the waste workers in the city to ensure good health and raise awareness on occupational safety amongst waste workers.
Our formal and informal waste workers have been frontline warriors during the pandemic. A total of 54 waste workers attended the medical camp and were checked by the city health officer and his team. The checkup included a general body check-up, hemoglobin test, blood sugar level test, eye-sight test, and COVID-19 rapid antigen test.
Our team shared occupational health hazards with the waste workers and possible measures to protect themselves. Through this camp, we were able to provide assistance to the waste workers to improve their working conditions as well as address vulnerable and serious health concerns of the waste workers.
