3 Bin Pratidin
Residents from Haridwar and Rishikesh participate in a one-month campaign to segregate their waste at home and spread awareness to their family and friends
We organized a waste segregation campaign for all our volunteers and household members in the cities of Rishikesh and Haridwar. The 3 Bin Pratidin campaign was conducted between 17th May to 5th July. This was a majorly volunteer-driven campaign where we guided people on the practice and importance of source segregation.
Over the one month, the campaign witnessed good participation from the residents who shared photos with us of their three bins. One of the major highlights of the campaign was the support of the Mayor of Rishikesh, Smt Anita Mamgain, and Mayor of Haridwar, Smt. Anita Sharma who urged residents of their respective cities to practice waste segregation at home. Segregating waste is the first step towards an improved waste collection and management system. Post this campaign, we are committed to reaching out to more people and promoting the importance of segregation and responsible waste management.
